BEFORE YOU DECIDE.
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most — including the ones other brands avoid.
Who is VOID Model Max designed for?
People whose routine covers more ground than a compact handheld suits — scalp and hairline work, or several sites — and anyone who wants the most controlled version of the format. If you're managing a couple of small patches on the face or neck, Model 1 is the more sensible buy.
What's in the box?
Device, comb attachment, flat attachment, charging dock, power cable and an aluminium carry case, as shown. Final retail contents are confirmed at dispatch — ask us before ordering if you need the exact list.
How is Model Max different from Model 1?
Same 311nm narrowband UVB category and the same documentation standard. Model Max is the larger instrument: interchangeable heads including a comb for hair-bearing areas, plus an onboard session display and touch controls. Model 1 is a compact, single-control handheld for localised areas.
How do I use Model Max?
You fit the appropriate head, bring it to the area with eye protection on, and follow the guidance supplied with the device. We deliberately don't publish exposure times or session frequency on a sales page — those are individual and belong with the instructions and, ideally, a clinician's plan.
Does Model Max burn or damage the skin?
UVB can burn skin that is overexposed — true of any UVB source, including clinic equipment. Exposure has to be controlled, eye protection is required, and you should start conservatively. Some medications and conditions increase light sensitivity; check yours before starting.
Can I use Model Max with my existing skincare?
We can't give a blanket yes. Some topicals and medications increase light sensitivity and some are deliberately timed around treatment. Take your routine to whoever manages your skin and ask specifically about combining it with narrowband UVB.
What if Model Max isn't right for me?
Our returns terms are being finalised and will be published in full before they apply to your order — we won't describe a policy we haven't confirmed. Contact us before you buy and we'll tell you exactly where they stand.
What warranty does Model Max come with?
Warranty terms have not been published yet, so we're not going to describe coverage we haven't finalised. The full terms will appear here and on the Warranty page once confirmed.
Why is Model Max $1,400?
It's a larger 311nm narrowband UVB instrument with interchangeable heads, an onboard display, a dock and a carry case — a dermatological modality, not a cosmetic device. If that format is more than your routine needs, Model 1 at $299 is the honest recommendation.
