BEFORE YOU DECIDE.
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most — including the ones other brands avoid.
Who is VOID Model 1 designed for?
Adults managing a few localised areas — commonly on the face or neck — who want to keep a targeted phototherapy routine going without building their week around appointments. It is designed for localised treatment rather than whole-body coverage. Phototherapy decisions are best made with a clinician who knows your skin.
What's in the box?
Final retail box contents are being confirmed and will be listed here in full before they apply to your order. If you want the current contents list before ordering, contact us and we'll send it.
How do I use Model 1?
Model 1 is a handheld. You bring the treatment window to the area with appropriate eye protection on, and follow the guidance supplied with the device. We deliberately don't publish exposure times or session frequency on a sales page — those parameters are individual and belong with the supplied instructions and, ideally, a clinician's plan.
Does Model 1 burn or damage the skin?
UVB can burn skin that is overexposed. That is true of any UVB source, including clinic equipment, which is why exposure has to be controlled, eye protection is required, and you should start conservatively and follow the supplied guidance. Some medications and conditions increase light sensitivity — check yours before starting.
Can I use Model 1 with my existing skincare?
We can't give you a blanket yes. Some topicals and medications increase light sensitivity, and some are deliberately timed around treatment. Take your current routine to whoever manages your skin and ask specifically about combining it with narrowband UVB.
Is this worth it compared to other skincare options out there?
They're different categories. Creams and topicals are one approach; narrowband UVB is a light-based modality that has been used in dermatology for decades. Model 1 isn't a replacement for anything your clinician has prescribed — it's a way to keep a targeted 311nm routine going at home. Whether that's worth $299 depends on what the appointments are currently costing you in time.
What if Model 1 isn't right for me and I don't see results?
Our returns terms are being finalised and will be published in full before they apply to your order — we won't describe a policy we haven't confirmed. Contact us before you buy and we'll tell you exactly where they stand. On results: narrowband UVB response is gradual and varies by person and body site, and nobody can honestly promise you an outcome.
What warranty does Model 1 come with?
Warranty terms have not been published yet, so we're not going to describe coverage we haven't finalised. The full terms will appear here and on the Warranty page once confirmed. Ask us directly in the meantime.
Why is Model 1 priced higher than basic beauty tools?
Because it isn't one. Model 1 is a 311nm narrowband UVB instrument — a dermatological modality — not a cosmetic device. The price reflects the lamps, the targeted format and the documentation standard we hold ourselves to. We'd rather explain the number than dress it up as a discount.
